Municipal Stadium

The Municipal Stadium is located in Wrocław, Poland, with a capacity of 42,771 spectators. As a modern football stadium, it was originally built for the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship. As a home football stadium of the Śląsk Wrocław football team, it installed an all-covered roof. After the National Stadium and the Silesia Stadium, the Municipal Stadium became the biggest football stadium in Poland, the third-largest in Ekstraklasa.

The construction work spans about two years from Apr. 2009 to Sep. 2011. It was inaugurated on Sep. 10, 2011, when a boxing competition between Tomasz Adamek and Vitali Klitschko. The external walls of the football stadium are different from those of others for an innovative design. The whole building is equipped with special glass fiber, which is coated by Teflon. This novel design leaves lightness and transparency to the large structure. In addition, the football stadium is surrounded by beautiful landscape with benches, allowing people enjoy the scenery in a relaxing environment.
